The swing bridge at the Docks is being closed for three days for its annual rub down.

Navigation Way will be closed on both sides of the bridge to vehicles throughout the work.

The annual maintenance is carried out by Lancashire County Council on the swing bridge.

Preston Bus is advising passengers the 75 service will be diverted via Mariners Way, past Morrisons, during the closure.

The ‘Preston Docks Bridge’, which has been building a strong following on Twitter with its pithy tweets, is shut from Wednesday 26 September to Friday 28 September.
