Police have released two CCTV pictures and video after a man was attacked in Preston city centre.
The attack during the afternoon of Saturday (1 September) triggered a police appeal for any Saturday shoppers to come forward.
A man was treated in Royal Preston Hospital for a serious head injury after being attacked by three men.
Preston Police say the group attached the 19-year-old victim with weapons, knocking him to the floor before kicking and punching him.
A member of the public managed to detain one of the group at the scene, a 17-year-old boy who has been arrested on suspicion of wounding. He has now been released pending further enquiries.
Two other males made off from the scene around 5.15pm on that Saturday.
