Joshua Holden, of Wolf Entertainments, is in talks with Preston City Council about setting up the Preston Outdoor Cinema.
He said: “It’s still early in development and planning.
“We are looking to place this cinema in a truly beautiful location within Avenham Park.
“We are aiming for tickets to be on sale in January and we’re looking for film recommendations.”

Josh and team have posted the event onto Facebook and more than 3,000 people have ticked that they are interested in attending.
Josh said: “At the moment it would be a pilot event, just to see how it could work and whether it is worth the heavy costings.”
The outdoor cinema would run from Friday 5 April to Sunday 7 April.
A spokeswoman for Preston City Council said they were yet to receive a request to hold the event in the park.
