Preston Police issued an urgent appeal to trace them, and their parents, due to a concern for welfare.

Both the girls were found safe and well at an address in Blackpool during Saturday afternoon.

A 30-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.

A police spokesman said: “We would like to thank both the public and the media for their help in finding the children safe and well. Your support is greatly appreciated.”
