Work has started on a new mini retail park in Fulwood.
Opposite the old Broughton printers site the land off Oliver’s Place and Eastway has stood empty for years.
In June final plans were passed by Preston City Council for an Aldi, gym and a total of eight retail units on the space.
A 329-space car park is also going to be created within the land.
Workmen have been spotted on the site as planning consultants Cassidy + Ashton said in June work would start in ‘late summer’.

Costa have also confirmed they will be putting in a drive-through at the retail park – which is yet to be named.
