A Prosecco-soaked women’s soft ball cricket festival is coming to Preston.
The festival is part of an afternoon of fundraising for BAC/EE Preston Cricket Club on Sunday 12 August. The entry fee is £25 for a team of six, which includes a free bottle of Prosecco.
Soft ball cricket is described as a fun, fast and social game for all abilities. The event is one of hundreds of free soft ball cricket festivals taking place nationwide. Supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board, the festivals are designed to teach women the basic skills of how to play. No previous experience is required, and equipment will be provided.
A family fun day will run alongside the Prosecco cricket. It will feature All Stars games, a barbecue, bouncy castle, raffle and face painting.
The event takes place on Sunday 12 August from 12pm to 5pm at BAC/EE Preston Cricket Club on South Meadow Lane, Broadgate.
