Anyone walking down Fishergate in the lat 24-hours may have seen a lot of blue dots appearing.
Scattered along the street they are a clue as to how Prestonians can save some cash when heading out in the city.
A new initiative from Cool Media Marketing and Preston’s Business Improvement District has seen a new discount card launched.
The latest move to offer discounted eating, drinking and shopping has more than 60 retailers, bars, restaurants and activity venues signed up.

Luke Maher, the man behind Cool Rewards, said: It has been amazing to get such warm reception from Preston’s business community in getting behind this venture.
“Everyone involved gets premium exposure through the website, free mobile app and Facebook page and they aren’t charged a single penny in exchange for promoting their business through to card holders. The city has been waiting a long time for a rewards card that promotes Preston, Cool Media is committed to this programme which we think will be a success for both engaged businesses and the people of Preston”
Luke said the blue dots in Fishergate are to mark how businesses across the city will be putting a blue dot in their windows to show they accept the discount card.
The cards costs £10 and you can see all the businesses, both chains and independents, by visiting the Cool Rewards site.
