Penwortham junction closed as emergency services deal with crash

Emergency services have closed off a busy junction in Penwortham due to a crash.
Two cars are involved in the crash at the junction of Liverpool Road (A59) and Cop Lane, near the Fleece Inn pub.
South Ribble Police, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service are all at the scene.
The crash took place shortly before 6pm on Tuesday (28 August).

One lane is closed heading up Penwortham Hill from Preston city centre.
