Bus passengers in Preston are being advised of a number of changes from early September.
Lancashire County Council has issued information on how both Preston Bus and Stagecoach are amending their services.
We’ve detailed each of the bus services which is seeing an amended timetable and as much detail as we can find.
All changes come into force from Monday 3 September.
6/6A Preston Bus Station – Brookfield – Redscar
General timetable has been adjusted and the service will run hourly on Sunday evenings.
8 Preston Bus Station – Ribbleton – Moor Nook
Sunday evening timetable adjusted to run hourly.
14 Preston Bus Station – Holme Slack
The bus will no longer serve Ronaldsway, Cromwell Road and through to Longsands. Instead will terminate at Holme Slack.
Service will operate half hourly Monday to Saturday on daytime.
The county council say they want to explore alternative solutions for providing a replacement service for affected areas.

16 Preston Bus Station – Faringdon Park
Sunday evening hourly timetable introduced.
19 Preston Bus Station – Royal Preston Hospital
The last daily departure from Preston Bus Station will be 10.08pm and 10.27pm from Royal Preston Hospital.
23 Preston Bus Station – Royal Preston Hospital – Fulwood Asda.
During weekdays the service in the daytime goes to every eight minutes.
31 Preston Bus Station – Savick – Lea
Extending through Lea to replace the withdrawn 89 service.
35 Preston Bus Station – Tanterton
Friday and Saturday night journeys will start from Fishergate Boots and operate via Fishergate, Corporation Street and Ringway onto the normal route at Friargate.
44 Preston Bus Station – Ingol – Cottam
Will now go in a clock-wise loop from Cottam via the housing developments in Hoyles Lane.

88 Royal Preston Hospital – Larches
Extending to run via Savick.
89 Preston Bus Station – Larches
Will now terminate at Larches terminus, and withdrawing the service from Lea.

1 Preston Bus Station – Ribbleton – Grimsargh – Longridge
Restoring the normal Monday to Saturday frequency following the school holidays.
3 Preston Bus Station – Penwortham – Kingsfold
Restoring the normal Monday to Saturday frequency following the school holidays.
4/4C Preston Bus Station – Royal Preston Hospital – Broughton – Longridge
Operating the 4C hourly on Preston College Days only. Service 4 to maintain half hourly combined service between Preston and RPH.
59 Preston Bus Station – Mellor Brook – Blackburn
A number of peak journeys on Monday to Friday are being diverted to serve the BAE Mellor Brook main entrance

61 Preston Bus Station – Kirkham – Blackpool
Due to the anti-fracking protests at Preston New Road the timetable has been adjusted.
68 Preston Bus Station – Lytham St Annes – Blackpool
The 4.55pm service on college days only will depart at 4.40pm from Preston’s College and operate 15minutes earlier throughout.
125 Preston Bus Station – Bamber Bridge – Chorley – Adlington – Bolton
Back to standard service Monday to Saturday following school holidays. Service 125C journey from Charnock Richard to Preston’s College will extend and terminate at Myerscough College.

A revised timetable in place
A spokesman for Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire said: “Stagecoach timetable changes will come in to effect from September 2nd to reflect the increase of demand as students go back to school.
“We’ve listened to feedback from regular users of these buses and acted accordingly. We regularly evaluate our routes and look to see where we can improve.
“For example, we have extended the 125C service to include Myerscough College. We are committed to offering a service which is tailored to the needs of the communities in each of our catchment areas.”
