Preston’s Bank Holiday weather forecast is looking like it’s going to be a wet one.
You might need your umbrellas with light showers and drizzle predicted over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Here’s a run through of the weather for the week ahead:
Tuesday (21 August)
Morning – It’s set to be an overcast morning with lots of cloud
Afternoon – Temperatures rise to highs of 21 degrees and sunny intervals are predicted
Evening – The sun disappears around 6pm for a cloudy night
Wednesday (22 August)
Morning – Grab your brollies as light rain is expected from 10am
Afternoon – The heavens truly open up for heavy showers at 1pm
Evening – Light showers continue into the evening, with an overcast night to follow
Thursday (23 August)
Morning – Light showers expected from 10am with bursts of sunshine
Afternoon – Temperatures drop away from 4pm to 15 degrees and more light showers are predicted
Evening – Light showers will continue until around 10pm

Friday (24 August)
Morning – Hail is predicted from 7am followed by heavy showers around 10am
Afternoon – Heavy showers are expected throughout the day with some glimpses of sunshine
Evening – The rain persists into the evening with a night of cloud to follow
Saturday (25 August)
Morning – Unfortunately, a rainy start to the Bank Holiday Weekend. Light showers will be accompanied by sunny intervals
Afternoon – The heavens open fully after midday for a heavy downpour
Evening – The rain eases off for a dry evening but clouds will remain
Sunday (26 August)
Morning – Another cloudy start to the day with temperatures slowly increasing to 13 degrees by 10am
Afternoon – Light showers expected around 1pm with the sunshine breaking through
Evening – A dry evening is predicted but looks like it will be a grey one

Monday (27 August)
Showers and longer spells of rain are expected for August Bank Holiday Monday
Temperatures starting rather cool, but recovering to around normal, and perhaps warm at times
Tuesday (28 August)
A similar pattern is predicted to follow on Tuesday, with the possibility of more showers
