Twinkling lights, carols and more are already filling the thoughts of those responsible for organising Christmas in Preston.
AdvertisementPreston’s Christmas lights will be switched on during a ceremony and concert on the city’s Flag Market.
Date for your diary is Saturday 24 November and the event is sponsored by The Shankly Hotel which is opening facing onto the Flag Market in the Old Post Office building.
Preston’s Business Improvement District says it expects tens of thousands of people for the switch on and is working to confirm the line up of acts to perform and help switch on the Christmas lights in Preston.

Last year’s special guest to turn on the lights was EastEnders actor Steve McFadden who plays Phil Mitchell.
Union J were amongst the acts who performed on the Flag Market stage.
