Concern grows for missing teenage girl who could be in Preston

Police are asking Prestonians to keep an eye out for a missing Lancashire girl who could be in the city.

Update: Leah was found safe and well on Saturday evening, say Preston Police

Leah Burns was last seen in Lancaster around 3pm on Friday (10 August).

The 15-year-old, who is from Kendal, Cumbria, was visiting the city and has no connection to there.

Preston Police say Leah has connections with Blackburn, Preston and Manchester.

Leah is slim, with very long dark brown hair with the ends dyed a caramel colour. She was wearing heavy make up when last seen.

The last outfit she was seen in was a grey jumper, indigo ripped skinny jeans and black sparkly trainers.

PC Natalie Craddock of Lancaster Police said: “We are growing concerned about Leah and I would appeal to anyone who has seen her to contact police. I would also urge Leah herself to contact us if she sees this appeal to let us know she is ok.”
