City Beat 103.2 radio station has taken on a fresh new name and lineup.
Now officially known as Beat Radio, the community station airs from a broadcast media centre on the ground floor of Preston Guild Hall.
Beat Radio’s output reachesĀ the areas of Preston, Leyland, South Ribble and further afield.

The station originally began as Preston FM at Cannon Street before re-launching as City Beat at the Guild Hall on 4 May 2015.
Its brand new weekday lineup includes Rob Charles on the Breakfast Show from 7am, Nigel James from 10am, Paul Harvey from 1pm and LJ’s Bigger Drive Home at 4pm.
On Monday – Thursday, later shows include Evenings with Brad from 7pm,Ā 60-minute Takeover at 10pm and the Quiet Storm from 11pm.
Various other shows will take place throughout the week as well.
Programme director LJ said: “We are your local radio station with local information daily.
“We work alongside charities, organisations and individuals in the city.
“We are always on the lookout for wannabe presenters even if you have never done radio before.
“We have experienced presenters who are willing to help you reach your goal in radio presenting.”
A new website has launched in-keeping with the fresh changes.
