Clare Traynor, Charity Fundraising Executive at Rock FM, said: “It’s a great opportunity for young, local talent to perform alongside professional artists. It’s wonderful to see children grow, both in confidence and ability, by doing something that they love.

“As for the name of the show – kaleidoscopes contain lots of broken but colourful pieces, which come together to create something beautiful. This reflects what Cash for Kids does.

“We work with diverse groups, with many of their members experiencing difficult times, and yet somehow there is so much positivity surrounding them. Their ability to create something good out of what could be really terrible is astounding.

“The show is also a celebration of all the social workers, nurses, health visitors, teachers, foster carers, and anyone else who is involved in picking up the pieces and creating something meaningful in the lives of children and young people, who would otherwise know little joy in their lives. They are unsung heroes.”
