Ambulance and bus crash shuts Ringway in Preston

Preston’s Ringway was temporarily closed due to a crash involving an ambulance.
The North West Ambulance Service vehicle has collided with a Preston Bus service.
A Preston Bus Number 8 service was stranded at the junction with Preston Prison, near Aldi, and has damage to its front right.
It is not known if anyone has been hurt in the crash.
The incident took place around 5.30pm on Friday (3 August).
Preston Police are also in attendance and directing traffic which is backing up rapidly following the crash, in Ribbleton Lane, Church Street and Ringway itself.
The road was cleared around 7pm.
