A city centre bar plans to extend its opening hours and welcome drinkers in later.
Rift Bar, located on Main Sprit Weind, has applied to Preston City Council‘s Planning Department for a later hours licence.
If granted, the licence will enable the bar to extend it’s licensable activities from 9am – 3am every day, with the exception of Thursday which would be 4am.

Late night refreshments will also be extended from 11pm -3.30am everyday, with Thursday’s being 4.30am.
Rift Bar is currently open from 11am – midnight on Mondays – Wednesdays, 11am – 4am on Thursdays, 11am – 1am on Fridays and 11am – 3am on Saturdays – Sundays.
Alongside extended opening hours, the requests also includes adding the provision of films, performances of dance and anything similar to music or dance within the premises for the extended hours.
A spokesperson for Rift Bar said: “This isn’t a story we have no comment.”
