Preston weather forecast shows sun is here to stay

Glorious sunshine has been brightening the city for the past week, and it looks like it is here to stay.

Highs of 24 degrees are expected and Preston will be seeing sun for the next week.

A day-by-day forecast is below to help you plan to make the most of the sunshine – whilst it is here.

Tuesday (3 July)

Morning – The sun says hello at 5am with temperatures steadily increasing throughout the morning to reach 21 degrees by midday.

Afternoon – Highest temperatures from 3pm onwards reaching up to 24 degrees.

Evening – A pleasant evening is expected with temperatures starting to drop from 7pm, however the sun continues to shine through until 10pm.

Wednesday (4 July)

Morning – Another hot day is expected with temperatures on the rise through to midday.

Afternoon – Sunny intervals are predicted in the late afternoon with the possibility of clouds from 4pm. Highest temperatures of 24 degrees.

Evening – Hot temperatures continue into the evening, and sunny intervals continue until 10pm.

Thursday (5 July)

Morning – A sunny day for Preston, reaching up to 20 degrees by 10am.

Afternoon – Highs of 23 degrees are to be hit by 4pm.

Evening – Sunny intervals from 7pm, and a cloudy night is predicted.

Friday (6 July)

Morning – Sunny intervals throughout the morning, and temperatures remain high at 19 degrees from 10am.

Afternoon – Hit the twenties by 1pm with a few sunny intervals. Get to a beer garden after work as the sun shines through at 4pm reaching highs of 23 degrees.

Evening – Another evening in the twenties and the sun disappears at 10pm.

Saturday (7 July)

Morning – Get set for a hot weekend. Temperatures reaching the twenties by 10am.

Afternoon – A weekend beer may be needed to cool off as temperatures are set to reach highs of 24 degrees by 4pm.

Evening – Another warm evening is expected, with the sun setting after 9.30pm.

Sunday (8 July)

Morning – Sunrise is predicted around 4.51am, with a warm morning to follow. Twenties are reached by 10am.

Afternoon – Sun throughout the afternoon, with highs of 24 degrees.

Evening – To round off a lovely week of sunshine, a pleasant evening is expected. Remaining in the twenties at 7pm, the sun finally says goodbye at 9.41pm.
