A Preston art shop is looking for artists and crafts people to help it become a north west hub of creative talent.
The Rachel Joyner – Art & Upcycled Furniture shop opened on Garstang Road in early March. Owner Rachel already features work from some local artists, alongside her own artwork and upcycled furniture.
Rachel said: “My aim is for the shop to become a highly regarded source of original artwork throughout the north west.

“I’m offering artists the chance to display at the shop for a monthly fee, with no long-term commitments. There is an application process and so far I’m being very choosy! I have however decided to dedicate some space to developing artists, as I want to give opportunities to new up-and-comers.
“The fee will cover wall space, a page on our website, and marketing on the Facebook page. I’ll be taking a percentage of any sales and I hope that by doing this, not only will I generate a superb range of artwork from a variety of sources, I will also be able to focus on marketing the shop and being creative.”
As well as original artwork and upcycled furniture, the shop sells pyrography items, greetings cards, ceramics, rock carvings and cushions. July will see two artists from UCLan starting to exhibit.

Monday 10am – 3pm
Tuesday 12pm – 5pm
Wednesday 10am – 3pm
Thursday 10am – 3pm
