Pictures show proud Preston on Armed Forces Day

As Preston baked in temperatures approaching 30 degrees there was no rest for the armed forces.

Parading onto the Flag Market the city enjoyed a procession from the Duke of Lancaster Regiment and saw many of the city’s veterans get a chance to see their companies back in action.

Preston Armed Forces Day attracted tens of thousands of visitors into the city for the latest in the Summer Saturdays events.

Benjamin Wareing was there to capture the spirit of the event and the service on the Flag Market in front of the Cenotaph which remembered those who have given their lives to protect Preston and the UK.
