A small cluster of family homes could be built on a part of Preston Golf Club.
AdvertisementCouncillors will be asked to decide this week on the scheme at the club off Fulwood Hall Lane.
Planning consultants Cassidy + Ashton put in the proposals in January last year.
However council officers have highlighted concerns about the potential noise impact of the homes on nearby properties.
The homes would be a minimum of four bedrooms each and would be on five acres of land to the left of the entrance road off Fulwood Hall Lane.

A report to the city council’s planning committee states the plans will pass or fail based on the concerns of the city council’s environmental health officer.
Eight letters of objections were received by those in nearby properties saying it was ‘unnecessary’ housing and it is an area of open space.

Councillors meet at the next planning committee on Thursday (12 July) to discuss the scheme.
