Child airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital from Savick Way

A child was airlifted to hospital after an incident that took place at Savick Way, Lea.

North West Air Ambulance Service attended the scene near the Lancaster Canal on Monday 24 July.

The patient was immediately taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool to receive treatment.

A spokesperson for North West Air Ambulance Service said: “We can confirm we attended an incident on Monday in Savick Way, near the canal.

“The patient was flown to Alder Hey hospital.”

No further details on the child’s condition are known at this stage.

Preston Police said they had no details for the incident.
