Preston Police have launched an appeal after a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man.
AdvertisementHe initially started engaging her in conversation and asking the woman for the time from across the road.
As she approached the junction of Maitland Street and Rigby Street, off New Hall Lane, the man crossed the road, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.
Taking place on Friday 29 June between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, the victim managed to push him away and run off.
The offender is described as a white male of proportionate build with short light brown hair.

Police are seeking anyone with information to come forward.
PC Ben Gomer of Preston Police said: “The victim was walking down the street when she was sexually assaulted.
“We believe the area was quite busy at the time and are appealing to anyone with any information at all, to come forward.”
