Preston Guild Hall will be showing two of England’s upcoming World Cup matches on a giant cinema screen.
There had been reports of the games being shown on the Flag Market, but Preston City Council have confirmed this is not the case, and that they have no plans to do so.
Instead, the screen in the Grand Hall at the Guild – installed specially for the World Cup – will be the biggest 22-foot HD screen in Preston for watching the football.
The games against Tunisia on Monday 18 June and Panama on Sunday 24 June will be shown. It’s free entry, and there will be drinks offers, free nibbles, and DJs playing before and after each match.
