Thousands of people lined the streets of Moor Park and Deepdale for the city’s annual Caribbean Carnival.
Returning to its new home on Moor Park the carnival was blessed with sweltering temperatures as the sun beat down at a sizzling 23 degrees.
Starting at lunchtime the procession made its way from the park and completed a loop around North Road and through Deepdale Road and back to the park.
Paul Melling was there to capture the fantastic colours and dancers on the parade route.
