Preston got a chance to show off its heroic talent at the weekend.
Hundreds of youngsters took to the Junior Hero Academy Assault Course at Avenham Park on Saturday 9 June.
Tackling 20 obstacle missions over a 2.5km route, kids ran, leapt and climbed their way over the course.

Designed and built by Royal Marine Commandos and Army Engineers of Ozonefit Military Fitness Preston, the event was the first of its kind for juniors in Preston.
They faced 50m water slides, a 20m mega spider net, the Hero Wall, Hero Push Overs and Splinters Tunnels, and many other obstacles deigned for budding heroes.
Kids aged 7 – 15 could attend, taking part in heats of 7 – 11 years olds and 12 – 15 year olds and they were guided by ex military personnel and dedicated marshals.
