Police dog pins down two attempted burglary suspects in Lostock Hall

A police dog cornered two suspected burglars in Lostock Hall during Saturday night.

South Ribble Police were called out to reports of two men seen trying car doors and going down driveways.

Police attended and discovered the two men and trapped them in the gardens between Berry Street, Westfield and Croston ROad.

The police helicopter was called in along with the police dog unit.

A spokesman for the police said: “A short time later the police dog tracked to a back garden on Berry Street and smashed its way through a garden fence before detaining the two suspected thieves within its teeth. Both were then arrested.”
