Lorraine Charlesworth, director of community and income at the hospice, said: āYellow Day is such a wonderful occasion in which we welcome our communities into our beautiful grounds of St Catherineās Park – the atmosphere is brilliant and thereās so much to see and do.
āNew attractions this year include a mobile farm and birds of prey, and weāre also looking forward to a host of fantastic live music and dancing displays, plenty of games and activities for the children, and a delicious barbecue and a pop-up bar from The Mill Outside. Weāre even screening the World Cup England match live in our marquee, so nobody has an excuse not to come along and join in the fun!ā
A free Park and Ride service will operate throughout the day with regular shuttle buses between the hospice and the Leyland Trucks car park in Croston Road. More information about Yellow Day can be found on the St Catherine’s Hospice website.
