This weekend sees Armed Forces Day, the Lancashire Science Festival and Rockprest all coming to Preston, and one thing’s for sure – all three events will be hot, hot, hot.

Already this week the weather has been so sweltering that gritters have been sent out to stop Preston and South Ribble roads melting.

And with not a drop of rain forecast until mid-July, there’s plenty more sunshine to come.
