Residents in Ashton-on-Ribble will meet for the second year to take part in the nationwide Great Get Together.
A canal clean up and street party is being held by locals who live in Shelley Road and the surrounding streets during Saturday (23 June).
The Canal and River Trust will be supporting the clean up, which will start at 11am and focus at the Preston end of the Lancaster Canal.
Last year’s canal clean up saw a shopping trolley pulled out of the water, and dozens of bin bags filled with rubbish.

Following the clean up, a stretch of Shelley Road will be closed for a street party between 3pm and 6pm. The organisers will provide a barbecue, and residents will bring along food and drinks.
The Great Get Together campaign, which was launched last year, is inspired by the death of MP Jo Cox in June 2016.
Anyone living in the area is welcome to join. You can find out more on the Shelley Road Together Facebook page or by emailing shelleyroadtogether@outlook.com.
