Cult performance poet JB Barrington is bringing his hard-hitting show to Preston’s Ham & Jam Coffee Shop.
Salford-born JB is renowned for giving powerful performances of his searing and satirical poetry. His one-man show has been described as “a brilliant and imaginative display of poetic writing, covering social issues, economics, class and loss”.
As well as writing commissions, JB tours with his hit one-man show and has performed with other big name acts, including Sleaford Mods, The Charlatans, and Ricky Tomlinson.

The award-winning poet also counts Johnny Vegas and Suggs from Madness among his fans. Vegas said of JB’s work, “Lovely stuff, touches heartstrings and the odd raw nerve.”
Suggs was so impressed by JB’s book, Woodchip Anaglypta And Nicotined Artex Ceilings, that he took a copy on stage at Madness’ Kendal Calling 2016 headline show, and read one of JB’s poems to the sell out crowd.
JB will perform his hit show at Ham & Jam Coffee Shop on Saturday 23 June. Doors open at 7pm, and the performance starts at 8pm. Tickets are £7.50 and available from We Got Tickets.
