Peter Rankin’s life will be celebrated at a funeral being held at Preston Minster.
AdvertisementThe twice former leader and honorary Alderman of Preston City CouncilĀ passed away on Sunday 10 June following a six-month battle with a brain tumour.
His family warmly welcomes all who wish to attend to join them in remembering Peter Rankin at the service being held at Preston Minster.

Peter, 67, was the leader of Preston City Council from 1997 to 2000 and again from 2011 – May 2018.
Peter’s brain cancer was diagnosed in November last year and he stood down temporarily in December 2017 to undergo surgery.
The civic funeral will be taking placeĀ on Monday 25 June at 11.30am.
In lieu of flowers, Peter’s family have asked for donations to be made to Rosemere Cancer CentreĀ or Marie Curie.
