A Christmas Market for the city has been confirmed – and it’s still not even the end of June!
Etsy Made Local is taking over the Harris Museum and Art Gallery to showcase products from makers across Lancashire and beyond.
More than 5,000 people attended last year’s Christmas craft market in the Harris.
Stalls from chocolatiers, florists, card and textile makers were among 40 stalls to be featured in the grade-I listed surroundings of the Harris.

The Etsy group puts on independent markets for makers across the city and county.
Kirsty O’Brien from Blenheim Candles who organises the market said: “We were keen to get back to the Harris for this year’s Etsy Made Local due to the stunning location, and us being in the heart of the city.
“This year we will have over 50 sellers showcasing the highest quality artisan gifts for Christmas 2018.
“I feel it is important to celebrate local talent and inspire others to take up, continue or expand on their creative passion.
“With over 5,000 visitors last year and predictions of larger numbers this year it will be fabulous for the city.
“I am extremely proud to be co-captain of Etsy Lancashire with Helen Gillespie arranging these community events support local small businesses and bringing a large footfall into our city.”
The Christmas market runs inside the Harris from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 1 December and again on Sunday 2 December.
