A woman is being sought after a staff member was threatened with a needle in Next at the Capitol Centre.

South Ribble Police have released a CCTV picture of a woman they wish to speak to.

A number of thefts have taken place at the clothes store at the shopping park in recent weeks.

During the most recent incident, on Wednesday (9 May), a woman entered the store, selected various items, and attempted to leave without making payment.

Police say a staff member tried to detained her but he was kicked in the stomach and threatened with a hypodermic needle.

The woman then made off towards the Yew Tree pub in London Way.
