Preston has been on thunderstorm watch again following the latest weather warning.

The Met Office has a yellow warning of rain throughout Friday (1 June).

The warning area, covering a vast swathe of the North West of England, includes Preston and Lancashire.

A similar warning was issued for the Bank Holiday Monday but the city did not see the storms arrive – instead it basked in temperatures reaching 24 degrees.
