Sudden death sees police called to Preston city centre flat

Police were called after a body was found in Preston city centre.

There was a police presence in Church Street from 10.30pm on Tuesday (15 May).

A spokeswoman for Preston Police said the ambulance service asked them to attend a flat in Church Street, near Preston Minster.

A man in his 30s had been found following a sudden death.

Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.

While attending the incident the police van parked in Church Street was damaged.

PCSO Stephen Connolly posted a picture on Facebook of a shattered windscreen which appears to have been hit with a hammer or similar blunt object.
