Update: There’s a new weather forecast issued for the Bank Holiday Weekend

Forecasters are saying the Bank Holiday Weekend is shaping up to be another scorcher as the UK looks set for a very settled period of weather.

Here’s a day-by-day breakdown for the weather and temperatures as we head towards the late May Bank Holiday.

Monday (21 May)

Morning
Dawning bright and sunny there’s going to be highs of 20 degrees by 11am.

Afternoon
From lunchtime we reach a high of 22 degrees and it stays nice and warm through uintil 6pm with long periods of sunshine.

Evening
We’re in for a warm night, there’s a slight increase in the chance of some showers (only a 12 per cent chance) around 10pm. Sunset is at 9.15pm and temperatures drop to 12 degrees by midnight.

Tuesday (22 May)

Morning
Another warm and bright start and temperatures quickly climb to 15 degrees at 9am.

Afternoon
Expect a sunny lunch break, there is going to be a slight breeze at times though. Highs of 20 degrees from 2pm.

Evening
Staying sunny throughout the evening until sunset around 9.17pm. Temperatures drop to 11 degrees by midnight.

Wednesday (23 May)

Morning
A slightly cooler morning with some cloud cover, temperatures reaching 17 degrees by 11am.

Afternoon
Your lunch break will be very sunny, and there’s highs of 20 degrees from 2pm.

Evening
A sunny evening with sunset at 9.18pm and cloud cover moves in from around 10pm. No chance of rain.

Thursday (24 May)

Morning
It’s 11 degrees from 6am and there’s sunny intervals throughout the morning with some cloud cover.

Afternoon
The sun breaks through and we’re looking at highs of 21 degrees by 3pm.

Evening
Staying around 19 degrees until 7pm and it’s a sunny evening until sunset at 9.20pm.

Friday (25 May)

Morning
There’s a very small chance of some rain on Friday morning, but temperatures soon head up to 18 degrees by 11am.

Afternoon
20 degrees by lunchtime and there’s sunny intervals and a slight breeze throughout the afternoon.

Evening
It’ll be packed in the beer gardens of the city, 20 degrees as people finish work for the Bank Holiday weekend. A warm night, 13 degrees by midnight.

Saturday (26 May)

Morning
Expect the M6 and M55 to be busy! Dawning sunny and with temperatures at 17 degrees by 9am many people will be heading for the Coast and the Lakes.

Afternoon
20 degrees by 2pm, there’s only one thing for it, BBQ!

Evening
A lovely evening shaping up, 18 degrees at 7pm and staying up at 13 degrees overnight.

Sunday (27 May)

Morning
Another belter of a day in store, 13 degrees at 6am and it’s up to 19 degrees by lunchtime.

Afternoon
20 degrees at 3pm and it’s another afternoon in the garden prospect.

Evening
No work tomorrow, so grab a beer and it’s 18 degrees at 8pm. Relax.

Monday (28 May)

Morning
Traditionally, it is a Bank Holiday, so it should rain. There’s a 10 per cent chance of some rain on Monday morning but temperatures rise as the sun comes out and it’s 17 degrees by lunchtime.

Afternoon
A fine afternoon, with sunny intervals and a slight breeze. 19 degrees highs by 3pm.

Evening
Work beckons, but it’s still beer garden weather, 17 degrees at 10pm.
