Police have made a direct appeal for a woman to hand herself in after a string of shoplifting offences.

Sergeant Hesketh of Preston Police has released a picture of Lyndsey Dimmock.

The 34-year-old woman from New Hall Lane is wanted in connection with a number of shoplifting incidents at retail parks around Preston in the last month.

Police say during one incident a weapon was used to threaten a member of staff.

Sergeant Hesketh said: “I ask that anyone connected to retail staff and security in Preston ensure store managers and other staff members are made aware of this woman, and keep her picture in a staff area in case she is seen so that we can be contacted.

“Lyndsey, I appeal to you directly – these matters won’t go away until we have spoken to you and officers will continue to look for you until we find you. Hand yourself in to Preston Police Station.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.
