What’s on for Preston’s annual science festival has been confirmed.
Lancashire Science Festival is back at the end of June and organisers have announced electrifying shows, hands-on activities and more for kids and adults.
Titan the Robot is returning once again and will be entertaining the crowds along with a petting zoo, Cloud Factory and the Royal Institution’s Feel the Power.
Running from Thursday 28 June to Saturday 30 June the festival is in its seventh year.
As well as the festival a series of roadshows are visiting high schools across the North West to demonstrate science experiments and careers available in the science world.
Science festival director Dr Liz Granger said: “We cannot wait for this year’s festival to begin. We’ve got such a great selection of events taking place with shows, workshops and drop-in activities that appeal to all ages.
“It has rapidly become a major educational event in the North West and it’s great to see the mass appeal of a free STEM related festival. Our award-winning festival had 13,000 visitors through the doors last year and we’re expecting to replicate that again as we look to inspire both young and old alike.”
