Hour by hour weather forecast for Preston this Bank Holiday weekend

Preston has been sweltering as temperatures approached 20 degrees during Saturday (5 May) and there’s plenty more to come.

While those on the Flag Market have been soaking up the sun it’s going to be cool compared to the temperatures we’re going to see.

Bucking the Bank Holiday tradition of rain, rain and some drizzle, there’s sunshine aplenty in Preston.

Here’s an hour-by-hour forecast for the city:

6pm – 17 degrees, perfect conditions for watching Prestfest

7pm – We lose two degrees but the sun is still out

8pm – The sun will set at 8.48pm and it’s still 14 degrees

9pm – The start of a nice night, no chance of rain and 13 degrees

10pm – 11 degrees and a fine night

11pm – Staying at 11 degrees

12midnight – 10 degrees as we move into Sunday

Sunday (6 May)

1am – Stays 10 degrees and a clear night

2am – A low of nine degrees

3am – Remaining at nine degrees

4am – Nine degrees and no chance of rain

5am – Sunrise is at 5.26am

6am – Dawning cloudy and nine degrees

7am – Still cloudy but temperatures begin to climb

8am – Up to 12 degrees

9am – Jumps to 15 degrees, warming up under the cloud cover

10am – The sun begins to break through and we’re at 17 degrees

11am – 18 degrees and a slight breeze

12noon – Sunny and 19 degrees

1pm – 20 degrees, perfect for a picnic out

2pm – Still at 20 degrees as you finish your picnic. It’s an Avenham Park kind of afternoon.

3pm – A high of 21 degrees is reached

4pm – You’re in the beer garden and it’s still 21 degrees

5pm – Realise you don’t have work on Monday because it’s a Bank Holiday, remain in the beer garden, in the sun

6pm – 19 degrees as you begin thinking about tea

7pm – Can be eating outside, it’s 18 degrees and nice conditions

8pm – Drops to 16 degrees

9pm – Sun has set at 8.50pm so temperatures do begin to drop

10pm – 13 degrees

11pm – Drops to 11 degrees, a clear night

12midnight – Finishing the day at 11 degrees

Early hours – Staying at around 10 degrees all night

Monday (7 May)

6am – Dawning bright, and 10 degrees

7am – 11 degrees and still sunny

8am – Cloud cover comes back, 13 degrees

9am – And warms up to 15 degrees

10am – Heading for a Bank Holiday trip out? 17 degrees and sunny

11am – Perfect for your morning coffee, 18 degrees

12noon – 19 degrees and there’s very little breeze in the sunshine

1pm – A lovely day. 20 degrees

2pm – 21 degrees and that’s the high for the day

3pm – Remaining at 21 degrees, a gorgeous afternoon

4pm – If you’re out anywhere, well, it’s just perfect. Still 21 degrees and sunshine

5pm – The last hour at 21 degrees, soak it in, you should be finishing work, but you’ve not been at work. This is the new Sunday.

6pm – 20 degrees and a lovely evening shapes u

7pm – Have your tea outside, it’s 19 degrees

8pm – No chance of rain. Just sunshine, still.

9pm – The sun dips down at 8.52pm and it’s dropped temperatures slightly to 17 degrees

10pm – 16 degrees

11pm – 15 degrees a clear night

12midnight – The night stays dry and 14 degrees

What about Tuesday?

The working week is looking good, highs of 18 degrees and sunshine.
