Comic lovers will be thrilled by this exhibition coming to the Harris

Seven Stories The National Centre for Children’s books

Comic lovers are in for a treat with this fascinating exhibition making its way to The Harris.

Prepare for an eclectic mix of original comic art that will impress and inspire comic enthusiasts.

From 23 June – 23 September, comics including Desperate Dan and Dennis the Menace as they were drawn in the 1940’s and 50’s will be on display for all to see.

Old friends like Oor Wullie, Minnie the Minx and Roy of the Rovers will also make an appearance, and you will have the chance to imagine yourself on an adventure with Dan Dare from The Eagle.

The exhibition, organised by Seven Stories, features Captain America, Wonder Woman, Superman and Hulk as drawn by British artist Ian Churchill.

Ian works for Marvel and DC Comics, America’s largest comic corporations.

Fantastic comic prizes are waiting to be won at the exhibition, with a competition for you to submit your most create comic character art work.

All ages can attend and it will be open everyday from 10am – 5pm, except on Monday 11am – 5pm, Wednesday 10am – 8pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm.
