Tag Lane shut after two-car crash and one man taken to hospital

Police closed off a road in Ingol due to a crash on Monday evening.

Emergency services were in attendance at Tag Lane shortly after 6.30pm.

Two cars collided near the junction with Oaktree Avenue (near the Premier store) and two fire crews from Preston were called to the scene, along with police and ambulance.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said no one was trapped in the collision.

They administered first aid to one man on the scene who was then taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.

A man in his 60s received a cut to his hand.

The road was due to reopen around 8.30pm on Monday (9 April).
