Preston’s traditional Easter fun wasn’t ruined by the typical Bank Holiday weather.
Since Victorian times the city has gone to the hill in Avenham Park to roll its eggs – both hard boiled and chocolate.
Paul Melling captured the muddy scenes as hundreds of Prestonians still turned out despite the chilly wind and rather soggy conditions.
Entertainment ran from 11am to 4pm on Easter Monday (2 April) – with a number of performances alongside the egg rolls.
