A Preston city centre gym has closed its doors without explanation.
Real Gym Preston in Ormskirk Road opened four years ago but contacted its members late on Wednesday (11 April) evening to state it was closing with immediate effect.
Last year the gym opened a health cafe for its members.
Anyone who was a member of Real Gym is being advised to go to JD Gyms in Market Street (two minutes walk away) to activate a membership there, members must opt-in for the membership.
Existing Real Gym memberships are being honoured by JD Gyms, but only for two months.
A statement from the Real Gym Team said: “The whole team at Real Gym Preston would like to thank you for being a member with usto date and we wish you luck with the rest of your fitness journey.”
No reason for the closure is given.

“I hope that the staff that worked their had some notice at least.
“Moving the memberships to JD Gyms is okay for those with membership left but Real Gym was charging £10.99 a month, or £19.99 for three months. JD Gyms charge £19.99 per month.”
Blog Preston has contacted Real Gyms for further details of the closure.
