Deepdale is being told to prepare for gridlock due to the amount of Leeds United fans heading for the city.
Preston North End play a crucial Championship game against them at Deepdale on Tuesday (10 April).
Lowthorpe Road, off Blackpool Road, will be closed off throughout Tuesday late afternoon through until 11pm.
Between its junction with Blackpool Road and St Gregory’s Road there will be very limited access.
Bill Shankly Crescent is also due to be restricted.

Sergeant Paul McLernon of Preston Police said: “I would hope that these arranges do not affect access to your property unduly.
“However, I would ask that careful consideration is given to travel arrangements to and from your property within the affected times.
“We understand the inconvenience that this causes to residents and are making every effort to find a suitable location for coaches to go.
“We will of course make every effort to open the road as quickly as possible.”

Preston Bus is advising passengers it is likely to see delays on its 19, 6 and 14 services throughout Tuesday afternoon and evening.
The game kicks off at 7.45pm.
