A Preston man has been jailed for a string of offences across the city.

Leroy Allen, 31, was caught by police following a rooftop stand-off in Ribbleton in February.

He caused criminal damage to the roof in Marl Hill Crescent during the incident.

Preston Crown Court heard Allen was charged with burglary, shoplifting and assault.

He was found guilty of all counts against him and jailed for two years and 10 months.

PC Brown of Preston Police said: “I hope this significant sentence gives the residents of Fishwick and St. Matthew’s some much needed respite.”
