Pictures have been released following an attack outside a takeaway in Preston city centre.

A 21-year-old man was set upon outside Cafe Zeus in Lancaster Road.

The victim was left with a fractured eye socket after being punched in the face between 2am and 3am on 7 April.

He later went to Royal Preston Hospital and needed eye surgery.

Preston Police have released two CCTV pictures of a man they wish to speak to.

PC Matt Butcher said: “This was a particularly nasty assault which left the victim requiring corrective surgery to realign his eye and eye socket.

“We have conducted a number of enquiries and would like to speak to this man in connection with the offence.

“We believe someone will know who this man is.”
