Elaine Cooke, who began the nursery more than 25 years ago, has decided to call time on Newlands – selling up to the Cheshire-based Kids Planet firm.

The family-run business operates from Lymm, Cheshire, and holds 14 outstanding ceriticates from Ofsted for its 22 nurseries across the North West.

Ms Cooke told Business Lancashire: “The time has come for us to sell on the ownership of the nursery, I have retired and plan to spend more time with my grandchildren with Lisa Charnley and Joanna Maughan to follow new career paths.
