A family-run grill restaurant is the latest addition to the Friargate food scene.
AdvertisementTriggo’s was opened in March by local brothers, Mohammad Tariq and Anas Rehman.
The menu includes burgers, platters, wraps and salads, plus dishes from the charcoal grill such as chicken shawarma and lamb meshwi.
The platters are proving popular with customers. They range from £12 for a single platter to £42 for the huge Triggo’s Fusion Grill.

When I called in on a recent Monday evening, the open kitchen was a hive of activity. I had the hummus and bread to start. It was tasty and fresh, a theme that continued into my main course of veggie burger with sweet potato fries. The bun was packed with juicy mixed peppers, portobello mushroom and halloumi.
Anas, who was working in the kitchen after arriving from his day job at a pharmacy, said: “It’s been a lot of hard work to get to this point. Business is building slowly but surely. We want to make sure every customer loves Triggo’s food.”

The restaurant seats around 40 people and is open every day from 11.30am to 10pm. You can follow Triggo’s on Facebook.
