A woman is in hospital following a collision in Bamber Bridge.

Preston Police confirmed they closed off Regents Way shortly after 3pm on Monday (12 March).

North West Ambulance Service called out police to the reports of a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The woman, aged 60, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service confirmed the woman had pelvic injuries.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said the air ambulance was called out around 3.15pm and was seen landing in a nearby children’s play area.
