There was a heavy police presence around Avenham and Miller Park on Tuesday (6 March) evening as officers discovered a woman who was unconscious.
Police cars and ambulances lined the South Meadow Lane entrance to the park, near Broadgate.
Residents in Frenchwood and Avenham reported the police helicopter in attendance around 9pm.
Lancashire Road Police tweeted they were called to the scene and helped give the lady, aged, 24, first aid.

North West Ambulance Service arrived and she was given further treatment and taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called by a member of the public to the report a woman, 24, had been found unconscious close to a bridge on Avenham Park, Preston.
“She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she regained consciousness.
“It is believed that the woman was out running and could have suffered a medical episode or fallen over. There is nothing to suggest she was subject to anything suspicious at this time.”
The ambulance service confirmed her injuries were facial injuries.
